TOP 10 WAYS THAT WE ALREADY KNOW TO BE AN ALLY BECAUSE IT’S RARELY BEEN DONE FOR US

TOP 10 WAYS THAT WE ALREADY KNOW TO BE AN ALLY BECAUSE IT’S RARELY BEEN DONE FOR US

1. If someone assaults someone Asian in our community, we’ve already failed to see the signs to combat the festering evil attitudes building.

2. When someone comments ‘Can you believe what 45 just said?’, point out that that’s like saying, ‘Can you believe what that Nazi said? Yeah... ‘cuz Nazi! The real question is what are we conditioned to think in our heart of hearts?’

3. When someone says, ‘I heard from a nurse that...’ say ‘Stop right there! If a nurse or even a doctor hears a rumor, it’s still a rumor. Instead ask yourself why is Cuba the 1st to develop a vaccine?’

4. Before they even start, and you can sense when they’re about to start, remind them that unless they’re prepared to go ALL IN on this discussion with The Tuskegee Experiment

where they used us as syphilis guinea pigs well AFTER the cure was found without telling, going all the way back to putting chicken pox on Native blankets,

they’re neither informed enough or mature enough to speak. And those are the pg rated horrors!

5. If they are knowledgeable and mature enough to have a healthy skepticism about virus and disease origins, explain to them that it’s time for them to work for you.

Tell them to track down articles from Cuban doctors explaining why their medical profession tops everyone else on the planet 🌍

6. This is advanced and approaching the really spiritual: learn to separate reasons for actual hatred from conditioned hatreds.

For example, I hate what Israel is doing to the Palestinians but I rarely speak on it because my conditioned hatreds tend to kick in.

And I’m spiritual enough to know that I’m not spiritual enough to keep that from happening.

7. If you are Black and you want to go all in on this and throw in China colonizing Africa and the like, that’s your prerogative ON YOUR PAGE!

But bring it to mine and I will shame you for not daring to say FIRE ALL OF THE WHITE COPS FROM ELSEWHERES WHO HASHTAG US AND OUR CHILDREN WITH IMPUNITY WHILE YOU SAY NOTHING!

You’re just cowards and hypocrites going after soft targets because there are few consequences there.

Like those who are quick to say Jussie is guilty of staging his own beatdown when two separate eyewitnesses corroborated his story of his assailants being white!

8. If you say these things on your page then come to mine for ANY reason, I will remind you of the hateful hurtful things that you said and call you to apologize.

I’ve already banned the white gaze on my page so you know that I’m serious.

9. If you do apologize and repent, then I will readily forgive as I am only flesh and blood and bone, just like you. I’ll even throw in all of my own faults just to make you feel like less of a monster...but we’re not.

10. Sometimes I’ll speak on something then forget that folk need to hear the truth of who we are again and again to get it, so I’m ALWAYS grateful for those who remind me.

ON REPARATIONS

Never banter with white folk about reparations. It’s like arguing with your boss about wages they haven’t paid you. The only acceptable answer, whether they can give it or not, is “Yeah… You right!” Anything less from them is pure toxicity.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSUASION AND CONVICTION

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSUASION AND CONVICTION Decades ago, in my teens, my oldest brother and I had a talk where I said, “Can you believe that they’re having another gay pride parade?” He told me that he participated in a gay pride parade. Then we just stared at one another - and because many don’t know how to communicate without language, I will translate: Me: (But you’re not gay) Him: (True, but our struggle is their struggle and theirs is ours) Me: (Hmmm. Now I have to rethink everything because this is my brother whom I love challenging my core beliefs). I was persuaded that day. Today, my brother is long dead but I’m still reposting. That’s called CONVICTION.

Rigged Legal System

Search words: Rigged Legal System, Gauntlet of oppression, racial profiling throughout  Years ago on jury duty, I was asked to render a ‘fair and impartial’ judgement regarding a young Black man accused of possession on the Upper East Side. There were only two Black people on the jury, myself and another dude. After a very long time, we ended up finding the defendant guilty. That’s the end of the story but not the narrative. The twelve main things I came to realize: 1. Several Black potential jurors were citing a mantra about their unwillingness to participate in a prejudiced judicial system. It was my first time hearing it but should I be called again, I’ll google it and voice my objection in the same way. 2. The suspect was stopped for a broken taillight, but as his wife said when she examined their car at the station, the light was never broken. 3. The white judge, however, ruled that the bust was still legit even though he was clearly stopped for drivin...
