WE DEAL WITH RACISM ON ALL FRONTS


We deal with systemic racism on all fronts.

We mentor; we start programs to protect our kids; we fire ALL of the white cops from elsewheres patrolling and brutalizing Black spaces

who funnel in the drugs and the guns with impunity then lock up our kids for having (or using) them. And where do kids get guns for drive-bys? (Rhetorical)

And do an inordinate amount of crimes occur in Black spaces in Baltimore and Detroit and L.A. as opposed to NY because Black folk in our city have more character and higher morals? (Also rhetorical)

It’s because cops are not allowed to pump these things in here! We do have CHILD rape rings here which rival Florida, Texas and possibly even California (California is a dense, big state).

We need to fire ALL of the white cops from elsewheres patrolling and brutalizing Black spaces!

And regarding the white people and the Black folk who worship them who aid systemic racism through complicity, ignorance and arrogance,

and we Black folk who refuse to call out our antiquated misogynoir and homophobic attitudes which only serve to divide,

we can either protect all of our feewings or protect our CHILDREN, but we cannot do both.

It’s like there’s some sort of spell preventing folk from seeing the obvious. Either we break the spell or the spell breaks us.

Can’t wait ‘til we have our own media. Everything changes.

Search words: Rigged Legal System, Gauntlet of oppression, racial profiling throughout  Years ago on jury duty, I was asked to render a ‘fair and impartial’ judgement regarding a young Black man accused of possession on the Upper East Side. There were only two Black people on the jury, myself and another dude. After a very long time, we ended up finding the defendant guilty. That’s the end of the story but not the narrative. The twelve main things I came to realize: 1. Several Black potential jurors were citing a mantra about their unwillingness to participate in a prejudiced judicial system. Never banter with white folk about reparations. It’s like arguing with your boss about wages they haven’t paid you. The only acceptable answer, whether they can give it or not, is “Yeah… You right!” Anything less from them is pure toxicity.
