THE TRUTH ABOUT WHERE WE’RE AT

THE TRUTH ABOUT WHERE WE’RE AT

Here’s the truth: Until we congregantly say

FIRE ALL OF THE WHITE COPS FROM ELSEWHERES PATROLLING AND BRUTALIZING BLACK SPACES AND TRAIN AND HIRE WITHIN,

we will NEVER be respected anywhere in the world (even in Mother Africa) because our conditioning has proven that we haven’t even learned to respect ourselves let alone possible allies.

After 5 decades, I’m just learning to deal with my misogynoir conditioning. And when we do, we’re told to hush, hush! How can we possibly be unified carrying this hatred towards Black women?

And make no mistake; it is hatred (from the body shaming to the use of the b word and the word and the like to not giving them the same - or even greater - respect than we would our Black male counterpart).

Once we kick ALL of the white cops from elsewheres out, then we can begin to build. But until then, we’ll have no economic or political say. Our vote is managed by the two parties - carefully bouncing elections back and forth to maintain an equilibrium of power while pretending to give us the option of choice.

And I’m not just talking about rigging election polls or voter suppression either. I’m talking about the DNC smoking memo warning lib candidates to show us no love and when they do like DiBlasio (the only candidate worthy of my vote for firing Pantaleo, the cop who murdered Eric Garner),

he’s immediately ousted from the running. We ALL saw this yet we turn a blind eye. I see the fire of Elizabeth Warren who talked about racism and redlining and how it has affected us and our economics directly;

I see he fire in Bernie who did march with King and compare it to their silence about these same issues on the campaign trail. The very same fire that would get either one of them elected in a heartbeat has been put out.

And you see it too but you say nothing. And this is by design. Or maybe you still don’t see it. Maybe I’m just smarter than you? But I really don’t think that’s it since we’re dealing with commonsense the equivalent of 2x2 or 8x8.

The trouble is if their media tells us that 2+2 = 5, we’re willing to consider it. They tell us who to hate; who to love. Then they systematically bounce our allegiances back and forth like rubber balls.

So it’s a question of integrity. How do we fight it? We learn to apologize and repent when we’re wrong and hold firmly to our hard fought convictions when we are right.

But until then, they can bomb Iraq and Libya while we have zero say. We won’t even think to ourselves, “Why would someone like Obama bomb out Libya?”

Because if we did, the 2+2 answer would be obvious: ‘pressures’ were placed upon him to do so. Pressures from where? Well for starters, let’s take a look at the two political entities that collide to keep bouncing our votes back and forth without our awareness (or your awareness anyway).

But until we have the spiritual resolve to do this simple equation, we can expect Libya to be enslaving Africans and for us to be treated as 2nd class -at best - both here and all over the world.

We can expect our CHILDREN to be trafficked by cops (the same cops who flood drugs and guns into Black spaces) and lock us up in inordinate numbers for decades when we WEREN’T EVEN AT THE SCENE OF THE CRIME!

It’s like there’s some sort of spell preventing folk from seeing the obvious evil. Either we break the spell or the spell breaks us. Can’t wait ‘til we have our own media. Everything changes.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSUASION AND CONVICTION

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSUASION AND CONVICTION Decades ago, in my teens, my oldest brother and I had a talk where I said, “Can you believe that they’re having another gay pride parade?” He told me that he participated in a gay pride parade. Then we just stared at one another - and because many don’t know how to communicate without language, I will translate: Me: (But you’re not gay) Him: (True, but our struggle is their struggle and theirs is ours) Me: (Hmmm. Now I have to rethink everything because this is my brother whom I love challenging my core beliefs). I was persuaded that day. Today, my brother is long dead but I’m still reposting. That’s called CONVICTION.

ON SCAPEGOATING WHITE SAVAGERY

Those who brought their CHILDREN to lynchings dressed in their Sunday best are not ghouls or monsters or any more racist than white folk are today. They’re just people conditioned to do what white savagery tells them is acceptable. And decades from now, they’ll scapegoat the white folk today who ignore the hashtags, refuse to say fire ALL of the white cops from elsewheres, creating the most incarcerating nation on the planet...EVER! All while continuing their 22nd century conditioned evils without a thought of repenting. It’s like there’s some sort of spell...

When white folk dump, we can’t get Angry about it

I got angry over a white (almost white) person saying that I’m overreacting. Immediately afterwards, I berated myself, thinking that I should’ve held my cool. But just as we laud those black heroes who articulate the pain rather than express it, we condemn ourselves for feeling what is normal to feel.  Part of colonization says that I have no right to be angry and that my anger is naturally perceived as a threat so it’s in my best interest to hold my tongue. This is not normal. We must break the economic, physical, emotional and spiritual consequences to be true human beings. Otherwise we’re just lying to ourselves. “How dare they get angry over our oppression of them!”
