THE 1ST STEP TOWARDS REAL CHANGE

THE 1ST STEP TOWARDS REAL CHANGE

The 1st step towards real change is keeping your mouths shut on my mandated white gaze ban.

The 2nd step is keeping your mouths shut on other Black people’s non mandated pages!

The 3rd step is in owning the decades of gaslighting and tone policing (including your silence) when we shared our truths and our pain and stop pretending like you were there all along!

And maybe some of you have done this in secret between you and your God, but the next step is to apologize openly (on your own pages) where all of your friends can take note of your repentance and newfound convictions.

As of right now, none of the white folk on my uber-liberal page have done so. One or two have done the ‘general’ apologies (and if that’s all you can do right now then so be it).

Just don’t go putting the word ‘leader’ in front of your name if you can’t even do this basic thing.

Now saying FIRE ALL OF THE WHITE COPS FROM ELSEWHERES PATROLLING AND BRUTALIZING BLACK SPACES

is obviously advanced. Don’t try and start there. Tiny steps. And again, if you’re Black, with only the one income, count the costs because these nice white people will fire your tail for far, far less!

But be wise and don’t jump on my page spouting STICK IT TO THE MAN when on your page you have family pics and kitten tricks and what you had for lunch!

You either need to be ALL IN or stay on the sidelines. When I say FIRE ALL OF THE WHITE COPS FROM ELSEWHERES,

it’s my resolute conviction based on personal experience and countless articles and personal research which many of you fail to do, so when confronted, you lack said conviction.

When I read Spare The Kids, I repented of spanking our own CHILD (the one time as my mother had spanked me the one time) when he was younger, but only the author, after doing thousands of hours of research for most of her life has the resolute conviction to speak to the crowds of naysayers.

I am not a leader like her in this department, but confessing where I’m at is a start.

We’re better than this. You know it; I know it. We ALL know it. Yet here we are.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSUASION AND CONVICTION

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSUASION AND CONVICTION Decades ago, in my teens, my oldest brother and I had a talk where I said, “Can you believe that they’re having another gay pride parade?” He told me that he participated in a gay pride parade. Then we just stared at one another - and because many don’t know how to communicate without language, I will translate: Me: (But you’re not gay) Him: (True, but our struggle is their struggle and theirs is ours) Me: (Hmmm. Now I have to rethink everything because this is my brother whom I love challenging my core beliefs). I was persuaded that day. Today, my brother is long dead but I’m still reposting. That’s called CONVICTION.

ON SCAPEGOATING WHITE SAVAGERY

Those who brought their CHILDREN to lynchings dressed in their Sunday best are not ghouls or monsters or any more racist than white folk are today. They’re just people conditioned to do what white savagery tells them is acceptable. And decades from now, they’ll scapegoat the white folk today who ignore the hashtags, refuse to say fire ALL of the white cops from elsewheres, creating the most incarcerating nation on the planet...EVER! All while continuing their 22nd century conditioned evils without a thought of repenting. It’s like there’s some sort of spell...

When white folk dump, we can’t get Angry about it

I got angry over a white (almost white) person saying that I’m overreacting. Immediately afterwards, I berated myself, thinking that I should’ve held my cool. But just as we laud those black heroes who articulate the pain rather than express it, we condemn ourselves for feeling what is normal to feel.  Part of colonization says that I have no right to be angry and that my anger is naturally perceived as a threat so it’s in my best interest to hold my tongue. This is not normal. We must break the economic, physical, emotional and spiritual consequences to be true human beings. Otherwise we’re just lying to ourselves. “How dare they get angry over our oppression of them!”
