FOLLOW THE MONEY AND THE RACISM

So many white people and the Black folk who worship them just go by what the racist media spews out.


Meanwhile, they conveniently fail to mention the HORRORS of white savagery all around!


For example, their media says that the Black Baller shoe is garbage and that’s what we Black folk regurgitate...


and it somehow makes us feel good to say the negative because that’s what we’ve been conditioned to do all of our lives!


Some science even says that our mistrust and disdain for any fellow Black woman or man’s progress is now embedded in our DNA. 


I can’t speak on that but we’ve ALL seen how the Black critics and haters come on so strong that the white ones barely have time to lift a finger!


I read SHOE DOG by Phil Town of Nike fame. He described his shoe in his own words earlier on as garbage!


You’d put them on and they broke apart on your foot as soon as you started running.They didn’t remain garbage because he found a better and cheaper manufacturer overseas.


The money and credentials he started out with came from the equity on the family home and his head coach of some fame partnering with him.


Guess what? We don’t have ANY of that because racism bars it! Do you know how the Bookers got their place? They had a white family pretend to be them until the signing.


And when the Black Bookers came out to sign the purchase, the realtor punched their lawyer in the face! Where he lived changed the direction of Corey Booker’s life!


But white media and their narrative mentions equity like it’s an option everyone has, and that type of savagery is subtle and disingenuous and EVIL!


Being white means more bank loans readily available. Try showing up in a manufacturing plant in Japan or the Philippines with just a suit and your Black face and see how far that gets you!


Their media will talk about his boasting, but that’s marketing...except if you’re a Black woman or man...then it’s being uppity.


And I don’t have time to go into many of their manipulative tricks so let’s jump right into the money!


Nike pays Jordan 100 million a year in endorsements. That’s more money than he EVER made during his entire 15+ years in the NBA! The bulk (63 million) came in his final seasons.


Now let’s do some race math:


Air Jordan’s cost $100 (conservative estimate. If 10 million shoes are bought each year (again conservative estimate), that’s $100x 10 million = 1 billion that Nike grosses.


1 billion 

- 100 million (Jordan’s fee)

- $2 materials cost per shoe

- $2 labor/manufacturing cost per

- $2 shipping per shoe 

- $2 advertising per shoe 

- $2 miscellaneous per shoe because this is not my field (keep in mind that these figures are extremely conservative)

1 billion gross - 100 million (Jordan’s fee) - ($10 per shoe x 10 million or another 100 million)

= 800 million net and once the system’s up, it’s turnkey, meaning it runs itself.


The same is true of the NFL where we’re 70% of the players but STILL kowtow to white management with no talent and all of the power! It’s like Chris Rock says, rich is LeBron; wealthy is the white guy who signs his check!


It’s like there’s some sort of spell preventing folk from seeing the obvious. Either we break the spell or the spell breaks us.


Can’t wait ‘til we have our own media. Everything changes.

I got angry over a white (almost white) person saying that I’m overreacting. Immediately afterwards, I berated myself, thinking that I should’ve held my cool. But just as we laud those black heroes who articulate the pain rather than express it, we condemn ourselves for feeling what is normal to feel.  Part of colonization says that I have no right to be angry and that my anger is naturally perceived as a threat so it’s in my best interest to hold my tongue. The Kerner Commission of 1968

“Our nation is moving towards two societies: one white, one black — separate and unequal.” - Kerner Commission 1968 And this statement was made 4 years after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which was supposed to ‘correct’ the separate and unequal. What we gained from that era is essential: the right to vote, the right to use the same facilities including bathrooms, water fountains, restaurants, libraries and schools. But during that same time, we lost our media and its narrative. Black reporters were needed to report on the Black experience and the white papers paid much better. And when the Black papers went defunct, the Black reporters (in their previous numbers) were no longer necessary. So we had no narrative to guide us into the new era. BAN ALL OF THE WHITE GAZE COMMENTS! They strain at a gnat yet swallow a camel! Toxic...yet effective!
