CAN’T WAIT

When it comes to us ROCKING THE VOTE, I had this same conversation during the last Pre-election cycle. 

The ONLY difference is that since I’ve banned the white gaze, 

I’m only talking to folk who mutually FEEL THE PAIN AND FEAR of hashtags, profiling, discrimination and the like

which affords my being able to use the SAME argument with a MORE GENTLE tone.

White people don’t care about us; not because they’re EVIL but because they’re conditioned to treat us in an evil manner.

Everyone who’s Black on my page already knows this (or that this is MY viewpoint at least). 

There is a difference between evil and conditioned evil. Conditioned evil allows them to be up in arms about immigrant CHILDREN locked in cages with ‘ABOLISH ICE’ and ‘CITY SANCTUARIES’ and the like

while remaining silent about 2 hashtags a week every week by white cops from elsewheres WITH IMPUNITY!

The IMPUNITY part is what allows the hashtags to continue because if each white cop faced true justice for their crime, the hashtags and the like would cease IMMEDIATELY!

Like the Black cop did who feared for his life when he shot the white woman banging on the back of his cop windshield 

where he got 12 years with no chance of parole ‘til 8 years were served AND the fired the police chief (forced them to resign) because of it,

no one else would risk shooting an unarmed white person because of the dire consequences.

Now white liberals are like ANYBODY BUT TRUMP in the SAME way that they were like ANYBODY BUT BUSH!

Now Back in the Bush era, I was far more naive than I am now. A white coworker took the time to school me on the electoral college, 

gerrymandering and what will happen should the race come down to Florida (for which I’m very grateful).

He basically made a prediction (not through prescience) but through knowledge and commonsense, and I listened.

So when Bush won twice, I was not left with my jaw on the floor. I knew why he won, what was needed for him not to win and where his opponents screwed it up.

But what I had to school my coworker on - along with my other white liberal friends - is that given their platforms, 

it didn’t matter so much for us as the hashtags and discrimination continued throughout.

Now back with Hillary and/or Bernie, they told me to ROCK THE VOTE or things would be worserer!

I then explained to them what I’m saying now:

It doesn’t matter how I vote in liberal NY. What does matter is that there are droves of Black folk in swing states (where it counts) who have the same exact sentiment as I have that are not going to brave the poles, risk their jobs, their freedoms, their livelihoods and even their lives to vote for a candidate who refuses to stand up against cops hashtagging us WITH IMPUNITY!

But because of their level of denial, normally smart liberals and the Black folk who worship them ignored the commonsense prediction and were shocked SHOCKED by the results!

I’m talking I haven’t seen that many dumbfounded white faces since OJ got off.

Then they played the blame game...again. ‘It was white women who voted in this misogynist!’ ‘It was all those dumb poor republicans who voted against their own interests just so they could keep the mantle WHITE held high!’

‘It was THE BLACKS who didn’t do their part like they did with Obama and now they’ll suffer the most!’

Newsflash: Our suffering is just a leetle bit more than the intolerable levels that it ALWAYS has been.

Our healthcare has always sucked because even when most had it, we were treated different.

So once again, whichever candidate becomes the face of 

No reparations; no vote

and STOP THE HASHTAGS BY FIRING ALL OF THE WHITE COPS FROM ELSEWHERES PATROLLING AND BRUTALIZING BLACK SPACES 

will be a shoe-in.

Anything less during this election cycle will not get the Black swing voters out in the numbers that are needed to win.

Heck: I may just vote because it’s soooo easy where I live with the poling are right here 

and I won’t have to have this conversation with every other white person who asks me, ‘DID YOU VOTE YET!’

But I refuse to lie about our chances or the pervasive level of denial that is oozing through their pores.

The one thing I hate is having to feign ignorance while white folk keep underestimating the power of their own WHITENESS.

How many times do I have to say that 45 will not go to jail either before, during or after his presidency before it sinks in?!?

Nixon was a fluke and STILL he did no jailtime!

Reagan and his admin used the CIA to pump crack into Black spaces by paying cops to distribute these drugs and guns and then arresting us for using and having it or just ‘flaking’ us (look it up), DEVASTATING our communities

and he’s STILL revered as a hero and quietly pardoned by Bush sr. (the former CIA head who was no doubt complicit in it all).

It really is like there’s some sort of spell. Can’t wait ‘til we have our own media. Everything changes.

My page is a pittance, but I don’t get called the b word and c word like most Black women who dare to speak up 

who have titles in front of their names because misogynoir is so strong in America.

When we have our own media, we’ll shame the other narrative outlets by having our voice and speaking our truth

exposing their lies and all of the racist tricks that they use to support them.

And now we know about the DNC smoking memo warning lib candidates to show us no love,

proving that the parties are merely two wings of the same corrupt bird going back and forth with their candidates to give the illusion of choice.

Can’t wait.
