WHITE SAVAGERY

WHITE SAVAGERY

White savagery is not just those who brutalize, lynch and hashtag us; it’s their storyboard that criminalizes our Black bodies after we’re dead: Mike Brown.

It’s turning the victims of CHILD rape trafficking into Jezebels and Delilahs (Cyntoia Brown 16), while their pedophile rapists (Michael Allen 34) are transformed into

decent, churchgoing, taxpaying wage earners who just also happen to have a massive loaded gun collection lying about their house. But he’s white and she’s Black, so...

Or fabricates that our corpse was somehow the aggressor via our tv watching of Ultimate Fighting and hoodie wearing: Trayvon Martin.

It’s their incessant programming, telling us that the victim’s unstable mind was the cause of her own death: Sandra Bland.

It’s the unspoken criminalization of one’s sexual orientation despite your lack of lawlessness and your upstanding history of community service: Jussie Smollett;

while your corrupt and corrupted accusers (Chicago PD) are readily believed in spite of the evidence that they themselves dig up with eyewitnesses proving his assailants were white men!

It’s the ultra-humanization of the white murderer in the media, giving them backstories with prominent figures like Jimmy Carter and Colin Powell coming to their defense: George Zimmerman.

It’s calling the victims of violence angry or MAD BLACK WOMEN who need to be either locked up or put down: Eleanor Bumpers, Marissa Alexander (she’s no angel) and Korryn Gaines.

It’s when their narratives are proven false and dirty deeds exposed, usually after the acquittal when white folk and the Black people who worship them say ‘Oh well’ until the next victim, where they repeat the same okey doke routine all over again.

But most of all, white savagery is us refusing to say FIRE ALL OF THE WHITE COPS FROM ELSEWHERES!

because our Blackety Black (white sponsored) media and leadership is there to manage our pain and not to end it, while WE LET THEM!

Can’t wait ‘til we have our own media. Everything changes.

When white folk dump, we can’t get Angry about it

I got angry over a white (almost white) person saying that I’m overreacting. Immediately afterwards, I berated myself, thinking that I should’ve held my cool. But just as we laud those black heroes who articulate the pain rather than express it, we condemn ourselves for feeling what is normal to feel.  Part of colonization says that I have no right to be angry and that my anger is naturally perceived as a threat so it’s in my best interest to hold my tongue. This is not normal. We must break the economic, physical, emotional and spiritual consequences to be true human beings. Otherwise we’re just lying to ourselves. “How dare they get angry over our oppression of them!”

The Kerner Commission of 1968

“Our nation is moving towards two societies: one white, one black — separate and unequal.” - Kerner Commission 1968 And this statement was made 4 years after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which was supposed to ‘correct’ the separate and unequal. What we gained from that era is essential: the right to vote, the right to use the same facilities including bathrooms, water fountains, restaurants, libraries and schools. But during that same time, we lost our media and its narrative. Black reporters were needed to report on the Black experience and the white papers paid much better. And when the Black papers went defunct, the Black reporters (in their previous numbers) were no longer necessary. So we had no narrative to guide us into the new era. White establishments were ‘better’ so we abandoned the Black ones.  And most of our businesses dried up along with our ability to employ one another. So now we had to inordinately seek out white establishments (that...

BAN ALL OF THE WHITE GAZE COMMENTS!

BAN ALL OF THE WHITE GAZE COMMENTS! They strain at a gnat yet swallow a camel! Toxic...yet effective! I’ll be gone in January so let me leave a few tips: And if you contend with their banter (right or wrong), the truth of say the Native genocide HORROR gets lost in the sauce. They refuse to lament over the evils of the past and so reflexively, in their denial and dissonance, engage in banter meant to distract. Example: we say that we heard that ‘picnic’ means pick a n**ger to lynch. They’ll quickly chime in that that’s not the word’s etymology. They’re like SNOPES; pretending to be impartial but only (with maybe a few exceptions) chiming in on the negative regarding race. Or they’ll agree with what we’re saying but insist that we label them the exception. NOT YOU, BRADLEY! NOT YOU, VIRGINIA! The HORROR of how they’d accuse an innocent Black man (often a small business owner),  jail them, schedule their public hanging in the paper and have men, women and CHILDREN come out dressed in...
